Since 1882, membership in the Knights of Columbus has been open to men 18 years of age or older who are “practical” (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Since that time, the Knights of Columbus has understood “practical catholic” to mean a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
To become a Knight and join Council #2809:
- Go to https://www.kofc.org/secure/en/join/join-the-knights.html.
- Fill out the demographic information, proceed to the next page
- Continue to fill out the information, and under Preferred Local Council enter “2809” and submit your completed form.
The Grand Knight at Council 2809 will be notified of your interest and will reach out to you.
In addition, you can also stop by the club house and pick up a form 100 (membership application). Feel free to talk to any of the Knights you may see helping out at mass, and they will be sure to point you in the right direction as well.
